Dracula is a lovely and adorable harmonious charming little man, that was born 22 May 2018. He is a dark grey umborus short hair. He is the son of Picus Alucard, my black satin short hair male and Durga, my cinnamon umborus short hair female. A little angel all trough.
He is 3 weeks and 5 days old today! On Tuesday he and his brothers will bee moved to an own cage. His sisters will bee moving in another cage. No more being with mom after that. 🙂
#10 They live completely alone at 8 weeks of age, in other words when they are 2 months old! When they are 4 weeks you separate them from their mother and put the males in one cage and the females in another cage. Then they can bee with each other another 4 weeks before they have to start to live alone in a cage, at that age they are considered young adults and no longer babies, and by that time they also start to get their adult behaviour and will kill each other over territory, so there for they must bee living in separate cages when they are 8 weeks old. They are solitary animals after all, goldhamsters. 🙂
#12 like most animal babies they do enjoy to play rough and tumble with each other to prepare themselves for adulthood and bee protective of their territory, this gold hamsters do in the wild, and the pet gold hamsters does this too, in their cases, in case a hamster would show up on their domain. They also put their sent on several things to mark their territory to tell other hamsters to stay off, same does your pet hamster in his cage cage, if the cage is new. But yes, just like all animal babies, they enjoy playing with each other and often sleep next each other too, for comfort. 🙂
